Once again, the Orton Geological Museum will take part in the Central Ohio Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show, which will be held Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Ohio Fairgrounds (Ohio Expo Center-Rhodes Center). The theme of the show this year is "Illumination! Rocks that Glow." The exhibits will feature fluorescent minerals, or minerals that glow under ultraviolet light. 

The Orton Museum will display some remarkable fluorescent fossils from its collection. In addition, the museum will have a specimen identification table where the public can bring their unknown specimens to be identified, exhibits in the children's area, and short talks on topical subjects. As always, this promises to be a fun, inclusive, and family-friendly event. Come make a day of it!
