Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Getting Involved

There are plenty of ways you can get involved with the Orton Geological Museum!

  • Ohio State students can work toward a Certificate in Natural History Museum Curation.
  • Others can volunteer to help with specific research projects, or other types of projects the Museum has ongoing.
  • We always welcome donations of specimens that we can use in research, teaching, and outreach.
  • Financial donations are always welcome too. The Museum is free to all, but we do rely on donations to help ensure that we can maintain the rich program of activities that the Museum has to offer.

To everyone who helps make the Orton Museum's activities and projects a success, thank you so very, very much!!
